GETTING "CALLED UP" – A PREVIEW TO NEXT SEASON
Each camper becomes a member of a team within one of three age divisions: Division A for campers ages 7-8, Division AA for campers ages 9-11, and Division AAA for campers ages 12-14. Campers moving up to the next age division the following summer will now receive a preview of their next step on their baseball progression path.
Campers in our A Division, who are currently age 8, will be "Called Up" to participate in introductory drills with our AA Division (ages 9-11) Campers in our AA Division, who are currently age 11, will be "Called Up" to participate in introductory drills with our AAA Division (ages 12 - 14).
THE PHILLIES BASEBALL ACADEMY SKILL PROGRESSION LADDER
The Phillies Baseball Academy is designed to develop the complete baseball player through gradual skill progression. Using our Skill Progression Ladder, we have developed goals in each of our age divisions to help each camper focus on the building blocks of the game. We seek to help campers gain the most benefit out of their practice sessions during and beyond camp. Our program is designed to give them the tools to understand and play in various game situations. Through this process, we emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, while nurturing a love of the game of baseball.
